Automatic labelling machine applying batch-coded labels

Quality

Checked at the line, not at the end.

Quality at Kirpal is built into the stations themselves, then confirmed on every batch before it is packed.

10 · Quality

Every batch, checked before it ships.

Five checks run on every batch, and every brush carries a batch code back to its run on the line.

  1. 01Bristle retention

Pull tests on the set knot so strands stay in the brush.

  2. 02Ferrule crimp

Checked for grip, so the head cannot turn or pull out.

  3. 03Trim and flag

Tip length and flagging checked against the spec.

  4. 04Print and label

Mark position, legibility and batch code verified.

  5. 05Packing

Counts, carton marks and export documents matched.

01

Checked at the station

Each station has its own check, so a fault is caught where it happens, not at the end of the line.

02

Measured, not judged

Knot depth, epoxy dose and trim length are set by machine and checked against the spec.

03

Recorded

Batch records follow every run, so a brush on a shelf abroad can be traced back to its day on the line.

Traceability

Every brush can tell you where it came from.

The label applied at station 09 carries a batch code. Read left to right, it leads back to the plant, the day and the run.
